been a while

I haven't posted anything in a while, but I have been working on things.  Mainly costumes for Dragon Con.
I've been getting more serious about creating and been going through the stan winston school videos as well as went to Goo-Con recently and absorbed all the info I could from panels and workshops that I attended.

I've sworn to myself after Dragon Con (a few weeks away) I will do everything in my power to hone my craft and quit my day job.  I can't take the cubicle life of mindlessly pushing buttons anymore.  I need to escape and create, but I also have to pay the bills.

I will probably create a new DeviantArt though as this will be a turning point.  Part of why I haven't posted any of the things I have been making lately.  I feel as if it would taint them to be matched with past, lesser quality pieces.

I also am going to finally get some of my writing out there in more tangible form.  I have been unable to find an artist that has the time to work with me on any sort of graphic novel as I originally planned, so I am taking matters into my own hands and am going to be doing some video shorts.  I've been filling my brain with stop-motion information and will be doing some small test videos when I return from con.

Life change needs to happen, and i'm the only one who can do it.  I will update this journal with my new deviantart after it is created in early September.
