The Nintendoverse is so out of it's element here, but it works! Very dark humor and they pull it off so well you almost forget the fun playful attitude of the Nintendo characters you knew while playing through their games.

Hey there! What an interesting gallery you have! I noticed your post on a submission for the Darkstalkers Tribute contest and since you're a fan of the series I'd like to ask you something^^. It's a great bolter! I am curious, are you going to be using this as a base for say silicon molding?, will you be going over it with say bondo or something to reinforce it?, or are the current materials sturdy enough for travel and normal costume use?

My plan from the beginning was to create a cosplay prop that was sturdy enough for normal costume use but could be made by anyone from household recyclable materials and a few readily available tools like a hot glue gun and box cutter. I do not intend on casting nor adding bondo or anything to this since it is very sturdy with the double layering of 1/8" corrugated cardboard than will be reinforced at the edges with some heavy card or perhaps mache. There are some revisions to the design that are required but adding anything like bondo or the like would make it restrictively heavy since it is already weighty at present. After making the changes to the design that need to be made I will be posting the templates for anyone who wants to create it with a descriptive tutorial on how to construct it. I have plans for this one in particular but the next one I make might also incorporate a means to fire Nerf ammo and have a laser sight and other advanced features. Thanks for the interest. Since you mentioned it though I am thinking that a silicone mould would be great for casting numerous copies in expansion foam.
